| Jodi is the foundation bitch of our kennel. She has a superb, calm, friendly and endearing temperament, yet is fearless in the paddock. A true hunting machine, a natural, stylish pointer with an outstanding love of water - she just loves water! She has achieved titles in conformation, endurance (ET), novice obedience (CD) and Open Obedience (CDX), Novice Jumping (JD) and Novice Agility (AD). Jodi was awarded a Bronze Dunbar Medallion in 2003 by the ACT Canine Association and a Silver Dunbar Medallion in 2005, for her achievements in conformation and obedience and was the ACT Gundog Society's Obedience Dog of the Year in 2003. In the show ring, she won Puppy in Group at the 2000 Canberra Royal and followed that up with a Best in Group later in that year at the tender age of 16 months. A consistent placegetter at Royals and Specialty shows, Jodi was also awarded Champion Bitch in Show at the 2004 Victorian GSP Club Open show under Gundog Specialist judge Liz Harding. More recently she won Neuter in Show at the 2008 GSP Club of NSW Specialty Show. In keeping with my emphasis on versatility, Jodi is an obedience, agility & jumping trial winner and placegetter. She has won and placed in Gundog Working Tests and has also trained at Novice Retrieving trial level where she showed she had good marking ability and uses her nose well. Jodi excelled as a brood bitch, she loves puppies and was an exceptional mother to her own puppies and now takes her Grandmother role very seriously, helping to raise & educate all the puppies born here.
